Little David DeFigueiredo actually took the genuine spirit of Christmas to heart when he was a child.
David was four and a half years old, so when his mother’s friend requested him to narrate the nativity, they were skeptical that he would be able to pull it off.
Mom instructed him to recite the lyrics twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, for the rest of the day. After all, children his age need repetition in order to comprehend and recall information.
It’s not by chance that he’s called David!
It is the young kid in his red sweater who proudly stands in front of their Christmas tree and, with hands in his pockets, begins to read the gospel of Luke chapter two verses six to sixteen.
“Luke 2, 6 through 16… And so it was that while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her first born son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.”
What’s more, David doesn’t need the assistance of a guide. He just keeps going and going!
Now, how many adults do you know who can recite this narrative off the top of their heads? Of course, priests and pastors are exempt from this rule.
In a manger, you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, waiting to be discovered…”
Perhaps you’re familiar with the rest? That is exactly what happened! If you believe that a multitude of angels, also known as the heavenly host, appeared, you are absolutely correct! Now is the time to open your Bible and start reading.
In the video below, you can hear a little child called David describe the greatest story ever told.
